The Brodick Bar and Brasserie has raised an impressive £3,026 at a fundraiser dinner held in aid of Mary’s Meals.

Handing over every penny raised from a £25 per person three-course charity dinner, owner Graeme McKinnon and his team raised the funds with the help of UK Aid Match Funding’s Double The Love campaign which matched the amount raised.

In addition to the funds raised the evening was a huge success with patrons and supporters filling the restaurant and enjoying a social evening in support of a worthy cause.

Mary’s Meals ambassador Alison Page said: ‘Graeme and his team excelled themselves, offering us a fabulous three course menu cooked to perfection.

‘Donations totalled £1,513 which is a fantastic sum to raise for Mary’s Meals and the match funding, means that £3,026 has been raised from this one event alone.

‘It costs just £13.90 to feed a child for a year so this will amazing donation will feed and educate 217 more children in 2019. Heartfelt thanks to everyone for their continuing support, it’s greatly appreciated.’
